The Quiet Way to the Beach. Sounds of Summer sits in the narrow waist of Wrightsville Beach, with very easy beach access at the end of the street, quieter than the big ones up by the pier. Turn around and the whole west side of the house looks out over the sound: private, quiet, and pointed straight at the sunset. A small access at the other end drops a paddle board or kayak in the water in about a minute. One side you walk to. The other you watch.

Everybody Gets the View. Putting the living level on top was the right call. Floor to ceiling glass runs the whole water side, so the view is not somewhere you go, it is just there, behind the kitchen island, behind the dining table, behind whoever claimed the couch. The bedrooms sit below, quieter and darker, which is exactly where you want them at eleven at night and again at seven when somebody starts the coffee upstairs.

The Sunset Porch. Covered, west facing, straight off the living room. Somebody starts dinner inside, everyone else drifts out, and by seven nobody is going back in. Eat out there. That is the whole recommendation.

The Room the Kids Claim First. At the end of the downstairs hall is the bunk room: a pyramid bunk with a twin over a full, a second twin over twin bunk, and windows on the water. It sleeps four without anyone doubling up, far enough from the primary that nobody hears anybody, and it is the reason this house works for two families instead of one.

A Layout Made for Families. Three bedrooms on the first living level: the primary with a king, an oversized ensuite bath with a soaking tub and its own door onto the water view deck; a queen room with a private balcony and TV; and the bunk room. Laundry and a wet bar are on this level too. Upstairs, past the great room and the porch, two more bedrooms and two more full baths. Four full bathrooms in the house, which means nobody shares one with somebody else's teenager.

Park Once. Walk Everything. Two cars fit in the garage and two more in the driveway, so four vehicles park at the house. No meters, no permits, no circling the block. You unload on Saturday and never touch the car again. Johnnie Mercer's Pier six minutes north. Tower 7 seven minutes south for tacos. Robert's Grocery, the only market on the island and open since 1919, a short walk for whatever you forgot.

Quietly Tucked Away. Close to Everything. A quiet residential street in the middle of the island, with a garden and decks private enough that you forget how close everything is. The Loop, two and a half paved miles around the island, starts where your street ends. Masonboro Island sits just across the inlet, undeveloped and boat access only, for anyone who ever wanted a beach with nobody else on it.

Come Find Out What Your Summer Sounds Like. Past guests have called it an "outstanding residence and location" with "great size and wonderful views." Come for the beach. You will probably leave talking about the porch.

*This is NOT a pet friendly home. No dogs or other pets are permitted.
*Maximum Occupancy: 12 Occupants - Children must be counted within the maximum occupancy unless they are under the age of two (2) and are sleeping in a crib.
*Tenant Requirements: Tenant stated on the Agreement/Booking must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age, and acknowledge that they will occupy the Property during the entire tenancy.
*No events or parties. If it is determined that a party/event is taking place at property, management has the right to evict tenants and guests with no refund. If determined that a party took place on any of the nights reserved, reservation guest will be charged $500, no exceptions.
*Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, and a Limited Damage Waiver Fee.
*There is NOT a working elevator at this property.
